Its dual safety feature includes a secondary trigger button inside the primary mechanism that must be squeezed to activate the blade, preventing accidental exposure when not in use. This allows for safe storage in pockets, drawers, and toolboxes. Once the trigger is released, the blade automatically retracts to its locked position.
To further ensure safety, a built-in safety return overrides the trigger function and retracts the blade when removed from the cutting surface. The strong and durable German-quality blade easily slices through cardboard and can cut over 5000 feet of material, the equivalent of around 800 boxes. The safety box cutter is disposable and should be replaced when it no longer provides a sharp-cut surface.
