Nox-Rust VCI Powder
VCI Powder is specially designed to provide enclosed systems and interior metal surfaces with protection from corrosion-causing elements. It is often used as:
- Lay-up, preservation, and mothball applications protect equipment’s internal cavities and recesses.
- Preserving equipment that requires hydrostatic testing before shipment and storage
- In a mothballed facility, the VCI powders keep machinery in working conditions so that production can quickly resume when needed.
Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SF
Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SF is designed to protect ferrous metals from corrosion-causing elements. A silica-free and water-soluble powder, the 1000SF protect equipment during storage, lay-up, and hydrostatic testing. Available in two different forms:
- Nox-Rust 1000SF Loose Powder
Apply the powder by dusting, fogging or dissolving it in water. Removal before restarting the unit after shutdown is not required. It is sold in 5-lb & 25-lb boxes.
- Nox-Rust 1000SF Pouch Emitter
Each 8″ x 11″ pouch contains Nox-Rust 1000SF Powder, protecting up to 900 cubic feet of enclosed space. Place the powder inside boilers, tanks, and void spaces inside vessels, turbines, and stream or condensate pipelines. The breathable polyethene sealed bag can diffuse slowly, protecting ferrous metals during extended periods of equipment inactivity, during storage or lay-up.
Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1000SFG
A finely grounded version of the 1000SF, the 1000SFG features similar usage and purposes, protecting metals from corrosion. They are best suited for applications where a fine powder is needed.
Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1010SFG
Silica-free and water-soluble, the Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1010 SFG is a finely grounded powder ideal for ferrous metals, including other metals such as copper, brass, and galvanised steel. Applied when wet or dry, it does not need to be removed before the restart/use of equipment.
Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1015
Water-soluble & silica-free, the Nox-Rust VCI Powder 1015 protects ferrous metals in equipment during storage, lay-up and hydrostatic testing from corrosion and rusting. It is also available in:
- Nox-Rust 1015 Pouch Emitter
The pouch emitter can protect up to 15 cubic feet of exposed metals inside an enclosure. Each pouch emitter eliminates the need to fog or spray powders when such application methods are impossible or not ideal.
Application
Water-soluble and silica-free, the VCI Powder is specially designed to protect the interior metal surfaces of enclosed systems such as:
- Boilers
- Compressors
- Drilling equipment
- Heat exchangers
- Mining equipment
- Power generation equipment
- Turbines
- Tubes, pipes
Apply VCI Powder by dusting, sprinkling, or fogging it into an enclosed space using a low-pressure air hose or dissolving it in water. Stream Peak’s VCI Powders are not only safe and environmentally friendly, but they are also free from phosphates, heavy metals and nitrates.
- Fast-acting and effective on hard to reach surfaces
- Powerful and long-lasting protection
- Cost-efficient
