The ShockWatch 2 is a bi-directional vertical impact indicator designed to monitor events ranging from 2Gs to 75Gs with durations between 0.5 and 0 ms. It has an operational temperature range of -13°F to 176°F and can be activated at the point of use. Each ShockWatch 2 impact indicator is assigned a unique serial number.
Bi-Directional Vertical Impact Indicator
This single-use packaging indicator notifies users about product drops or mishandling during transit. It acts as a deterrent to mishandling, prevents product damage, and indicates potential impacts that may occur during transit or storage.
ShockWatch 2 offers seven sensitivities, each represented by a different colour. Users should select the sensitivity corresponding to their product’s impact tolerance and packaging. These indicators are attached to the exterior packaging, visually indicating the need for extra care during handling.
In the event of mishandling, the ShockWatch 2 changes colour. A white window indicates no mishandling, while a red window indicates mishandling and requires inspection to identify potential damage.
QR Version Available
ShockWatch 2 is also available in a QR-enabled version. With a simple smart device scan, users can capture impact-event information, including time, location, and serial numbers. This creates a digital record that improves traceability, accountability, and damage investigation throughout the supply chain.
