Panel-mounted desiccators prevent corrosion, dampness, and contamination in electronic, electrical, and telecommunication equipment. The desiccators are filled with silica gel or molecular sieve desiccants that absorb moisture effectively. Molecular sieve desiccants are recommended for sensitive applications to maintain ultra-low relative humidity and prevent immediate equipment failure due to water vapour condensation, especially in low-temperature conditions.
A humidity indicator is integrated into the desiccators to detect when the desiccant needs to be changed or the cartridge needs to be replaced. The indicator appears blue when the desiccant is dry and changes to pink when the desiccant has reached maximum moisture absorption capacity.
